On the official sign sheet these signs appear as white panels with a black border, with Arabic and English text where there are words. They name districts and bridges, mark facilities such as hospitals, parking and petrol stations, and give lane or direction information.
They do not order you to do anything by themselves: that job belongs to the priority and direction signs and the prohibition signs. A lot of exam questions test whether you can tell the families apart, so practise recognising them by shape and layout.
