These are the general conditions the GDT lists before the step-by-step procedures: see New vehicle registration and Vehicle registration renewal.
How the GDT sets it out
- Apply through the form. The owner or their representative asks for the vehicle license, attaching approved documents for the owner, their residence and the vehicle ownership. The license is issued under the real owner's name.
- License attachments: proof of the real owner's identity and residential area, proof of ownership, the technical-inspection form, a document appointing a legal representative if needed, and accident insurance.
- Validity. A new vehicle or motorcycle license is valid for 3 years. After expiry, renewal must be requested within 10 days from the expiry date, and the renewal is for 1 year only.
