The GDT lists a separate service for "Vehicle Plate for External Transport (Companies)" (procedure 84). Its published steps are identical to this scrap procedure.
Steps listed by the GDT
- No insurance needed for scrapping.
- Go to the technical inspection unused-vehicles division in Al-Jahra.
- The owner attends in person, or their representative.
- Bring a document from the unused-vehicles division proving the sale as an unused vehicle.
- Pay the required fee and provide previous records.
- The employee audits the file and cancels it from the computer system. Fill in the form.
